Everyone loves a dupe, especially when it's a dupe that is saving you €20! When I spotted this 'Multi-Use Highlighter Crayon' in Penneys/Primark about a month ago, I thought it was too good to be true. Having used Benefit's High Brow pencil before, I can safetely say this highlighter crayon is an almost identical dupe of the High Brow pencil.

Today I wanted to share with you all a recent purchase I made that I'm a little obsessed with and I thought what better way to show case a new pair of shoes than to throw them on for an outfit post! Yesterday I took a trip to the beach and while I know it's January and some people will think I'm crazy for braving the freezing sea wind, I think it was worth it for the gorgeous view behind me!

The 1st of January 2015 not only marked the start of a new year but also my boyfriend and I's first anniversary. As I was just getting over bronchitis we didn't do anything wild to celebrate but I was treated to a night away and a lovely meal in my favourite restaurant.

This Christmas I couldn't think of very much that I needed/wanted, a pretty nice situation to be in but very annoying for my family and boyfriend who were trying to get me presents. The only thing I told my parents I needed was a hair dryer (my old one had given up the ghost) so when I opened that on Christmas morning, I was delighted!

The other day I went for a walk with my family in some woods near our house. My favourite time of year to go for walks is just as winter starts, there's something so refreshing about the crisp icy air and of course the autumn leaves make the best crunching sound when you walk on them! Today I thought I'd talk about how I keep my skin in check, as the weather gets colder sometimes your skin can freak out a bit so it's important to look after it and remember, moisturiser is essential!

A girl can never have too many bags, that's how I justified buying yet another bag to add to my collection. I also justified it further because this little beauty was just €15 from Penneys, I couldn't leave it behind.

Mascara is the one make up item that I'd chose over anything else, if I could only wear one piece of make up it'd be mascara without a doubt. It makes you look awake and opens your eyes and it only takes two seconds to apply a few coats. I'm guilty of buying far too much mascara, every time Boots are advertising the latest and greatest release in the mascara world I always want to try it.

As part of my birthday present, my boyfriend and I spent the last weekend in Cork and it was a much needed getaway. We stayed in the Ambassador Hotel and it was lovely, just a short 15 minute walk from all the shops and not near any noisy roads or pubs, I'd definitely stay there again. The weather wasn't the best but hiding from the rain in Costa enjoying a belgian hot chocolate is not so bad!

Yesterday I went into Lidl and couldn't believe my eyes when I saw that they had a Macadamia Oil extract hair care line. Each product is only €1.99 and they have shampoo, conditioner, a hair mask, hair oil and a body butter.

Early mornings never get easier no matter how many times that alarm goes off at 7am, so even an extra ten minutes in the warm cocoon of sheets is heaven. Having said that, those extra ten minutes of bliss means sacrificing precious primping time. 

Over the years of early school mornings I've gotten the time it takes to make myself look "awake" and "alive", down significantly and I thought I'd share with you my basic 5 minute make-up routine that I use most days.
