A Weekend Away

6.10.14

As part of my birthday present, my boyfriend and I spent the last weekend in Cork and it was a much needed getaway. We stayed in the Ambassador Hotel and it was lovely, just a short 15 minute walk from all the shops and not near any noisy roads or pubs, I'd definitely stay there again. The weather wasn't the best but hiding from the rain in Costa enjoying a belgian hot chocolate is not so bad!

On Saturday night we went to Luigi Malone's for dinner as it was highly recommended by our friends and it didn't disappoint. The restaraunt's staff were really friendly too which made the experience all the more enjoyable.

On Sunday we took a break from shopping (there was lots of it) to try out Scoozi's, another restaurant recommended to us and it is now one of my favourites. For the same price as a McDonald's we had the most amazing burgers and just look at that Mars bar cheesecake, absolute heaven!

As there was 20% in H&M for students (praise the Lord), I took full advantage and bought some winter dresses that are perfect for layering!

Top left is a gorgeous knit dress that almost has a tweed effect, it's lovely and thick and it's perfect with tights and boots on cold winter days. Bottom left is a burgundy fit and flare dress that was just too pretty to leave behind! And on the right is my favourite of them all, a gorgeous 50's style dress with a pretty rose print, I wore this one to dinner on Saturday night! All dresses are from H&M!

Last but not least, I've been looking for a warm wooly jumper for years, so when I spotted this in my beloved Penneys for just €12 I was over the moon! It's not too heavy and the material is lovely and soft and I'm definitely going to be wearing this loads during the cold winter months.

I hope you enjoyed this post, thanks for reading!
