New In: Beauty #4

15.3.17

Hello! I feel like it's been ages since my last New In: Beauty post and I have so many new and exciting products to chat to you about that I've been trying out recently and loving. I mentioned in my 'What 3 Years Of Blogging Has Taught Me' post that free stuff isn't as great as it may seem, and that I'm now very selective with what I say yes to being sent. I only every try out products that I would actually buy myself and think that you would all love to hear about too. So, with that being said, here are some products that have really impressed me recently!

Benefit's GALifornia Blush

If you follow me on Instagram you'll have already seen this new blush from Benefit and it's crazy beautiful packaging. I think how a product is packaged really makes a difference to how I view a product which may sound a bit shallow but hey, a girl can't help that she loves shiny, pretty things! This blush is a 'sunny golden pink' and is just gorgeous. I

tend to steer clear of blushes with my skin tone, they can leave me looking a bit too pink and flushed, but because this has more of a golden shimmer through it, it just leaves my cheeks looking very naturally coloured and glowing and I LOVE IT! I'm really looking forward to summer when I have a tan (yes, I promise I do tan), because this is going to look insanely good with it.

The Body Shop's Almond Milk & Honey Body Butter & Bath Milk

Out of all the products in this post, it's these two that I'd most recommend picking up. The Body Shop is a brand that I've grown up with, my mum always has a pot of their Coconut or Shea Butter body butters and I love how luxurious their products are without breaking the bank. When I saw their new Almond Milk & Honey range, I had to have it and I think it's my new favourite scent from them!

I also have the shower cream and body lotion from the range, but the body butter and bath milk needed a special mention of their own. The bath milk creates the best bubbles (an essential for any bath worth its salt) and leaves the skin feeling so soft afterwards and the body butter is just something else for hydrating the skin. I get such dry legs during the winter, but The Body Shop's body butters are a god send for putting some moisture back into them.

Uriage Eau Thermale Light Water Cream & Rich Water Cream

If we're giving our bodies a full on pamper, we can't forget about the face can we?! If you've ready any of my previous beauty related posts you'll know I have oily skin that can sometimes get a little dry and dehydrated. For the past month I've been using Uriage's new moisturisers, a rich and a light water cream and I'm really impressed with them. I use the light one during the day and the rich one at night which I find helps keep my skin less oily in the daytime, but really hydrated at night. These moisturisers have a fresh slight scent, which at first I was worried about as I have sensitive skin and usually anything scented would drive my skin crazy, but these haven't given me any problems and I will definitely be purchasing them when I run out!

Bryt Skincare Calm Serum

Another treat for the face is Bryt's Calm Serum. I've seen and heard so much about Bryt as a brand over the past few months so I was excited to try out their Calm Serum that I've seen so many people rave about. This serum can be used before you apply your moisturiser or  as a primer just before you apply foundation. It's specifically for combination to oily skin but Bryt also have three other serums for different types of skin, so there's something for everyone.

I find the Calm Serum leaves my skin feeling soft, but quite matte, which really comes in handy when I use it as a primer. I also think it does a good job of tightening my skin and leaving my pores a little less large and in charge which is always a welcome result! The only thing I will say is that the packaging of the serum is a little misleading. Since the serum is 30ml, and the bottle is one of those ones that pushes the product upwards the more you use it (I hope that makes sense), I actually had to pump it for a while before any serum actually came out.

Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear Foundation & Foundation Brush

I'm going to let you in on a little secret, this is my first ever 'high-end' foundation. I've never spent more than €20 on a foundation because I always thought spending more on something you put on your face, wear for a few hours and then wash off was crazy. I think it's safe to say that after using Lancôme's new and improved Teint Idole Ultra Wear foundation, my opinion has changed. I don't wear foundation every single day because to be honest, I hate feeling a layer of make-up on my skin, but with this foundation, even though it's quite high coverage, it feels so silky and like I have barely anything on my skin at all.

Teint Idole Ultra Wear now comes in 40 shades so finding the perfect shade for your skin is incredibly easy and they even have a handy website that can help match you up. I also had to mention the foundation brush that arrived with the foundation because it's incredible. It does an amazing job of blending in your foundation and because it's a little mini brush, it's going to be perfect for my make-up bag when I'm travelling!

Ripe by Roz Coffee Bean Scrub & Sugar Scrub

I'm sure by now you've all heard of coffee body scrubs, they seem to be everywhere lately! I've always been intrigued by them, and I'm a totally coffee addict so when I saw that Roz Purcell (one of my biggest girl crushes) had brought out her own range with a coffee scrub and a sugar scrub, I had to try them!

The coffee scrub in particular can be a little messy but rinsing out the shower after I've used it is only a minor inconvenience in comparison to how much I love using it. They both smell absolutely amazing and do such a good job of giving the skin a good scrub and because of oils they both contain, they also leave the skin super smooth too.

Are there any beauty products that you've tried lately that you're loving? Let me know what they are in the comments, and I hope you enjoyed this post!
