The Crimson Coat - OOTD

Hello! Coat season has well and truly arrived and I'm probably more excited than I should be. Today I wanted to show you a new (and very bright) addition to my wardrobe and the price of it will shock you!

Okay, go on, guess! How much do you think this gorgeous red suedette coat cost? Would you believe me if I told you it was only €35 from Penneys?

I actually spotted it whilst in the middle of a rather long queue in the Galway Penneys and couldn't resist leaving the queue (which resulted in a few sighs from my boyfriend) to go and try it on. Now, I'll be honest, at this stage I have enough winter coats to clothe a small village, but I don't have anything as bright as this, so technically I needed it..

My dress is from H&M last year and it's quit a thick knit material so it's warm and cosy. It goes with pretty much everything in my wardrobe too so I get so much wear out of it. I think a classic, neutral dress like this (that's warm) is essential for this time of year because you can just throw on a statement coat/jacket, a pair of tights and boots and you're good to go.

When I wear pretty plain pieces like this dress and coat, I like to accessorise well so that the outfit isn't 'boring'. I picked up this bag in Penneys last month for just €14 and it's such good quality! They had it in a few colours and I'm kicking myself for not getting the black too. My necklace is a piece I've been wearing a lot recently, it's the 'Layla' necklace from The Hidden Gem and every time I wear it I get so many questions about it. My watch, of course, is from Daniel Wellington, I feel like a DW watch has become part of my uniform!

Do you like bright, bold coats like this, or would you stick to the neutrals? Let me know in the comments and thanks so much for reading!
