Penneys' PS...PRO Make-Up Range

5.6.16

Hello! Recently, Penneys have brought out the PS...PRO range, a new make-up range that had everyone very excited. I've always been a fan of Penneys' make-up, from their matte lip liners to their shimmery baked bronzer so I couldn't wait to try out the PS...PRO range.

First up is lip products. Usually I'd be very into my matte liquid lipsticks but now that the weather has been so warm recently, wearing a moisturising lipstick like this Rich Colour Lipstick in Boudoir Pink with some of the Ultra Shine Lipgloss in Nude has been a nice change. The PS...PRO range also offers a Lip Primer if you want your lipstick to last the day but for me, wearing a lipstick and a lipgloss is quiet enough product.

One of the products in the PS...PRO range that I was most excited to use was the Eyeliner Corrector Pen. I'll put my hand up and admit that I'm not the most skilled when it comes to winged eyeliner, so a pen that can tidy it up for me is a God send! Another product I love is the Miracle Pencil. It can be used on the lower waterline of your eyes to brighten them up, and also on your cupids bow to make your lips pop. The Longwear Lip Liner Pen is almost like a lip stain and is definitely long wearing (I still have the swatch on my arm after showering)!

Onto face products, which can be quite tricky to get right, especially when these three products are under the €5 price point. I'm very picky when it comes to foundations. I don't like anything too cakey or heavy, but I also want some coverage and staying power.

The Longwear Mineralized Foundation really impressed me, it has a brilliant coverage, it's not cakey and it does stay very well. The only thing I don't like about it is the smell (kind of like paint) but for a €5 foundation that performs so well, the smell can definitely be over looked. The Mattifying Primer is another star product in this range. It reminds me a lot of Smashbox's Photo Finish primer in that it has almost a gel texture and leaves the skin very smooth and matte.

Above are swatches of the products that I've tried out. From left to right we have the Miracle Pencil, the Ultra Shine Lipgloss in Nude , the Longwear Mineralized Foundation in 00 Porcelain and 01 Ivory, the Rich Colour Lipstick in Boudoir Pink, the Longwear Lip Pen in 04 Midnight Crimson and lastly, the Mattifying Primer.

Overall, I'm as impressed with the PS...PRO range as I knew I would be, Penneys have always had a way of making brilliant quality beauty products for irresistible prices! The range is currently available in the Mary Street, O'Connell Street, Blanchardstown and Dundrum stores.

Have you tried anything from the PS...PRO range yet? What did you think?
