New Make-Up Loves

1.2.16

Hello! I can tend to get a bit lazy when it comes to make-up, when I find something I like that works, I stick to it. So recently I've made a conscious effort to try out some new beauty products and I've found some that I now use almost everyday and wanted to share them with you!

W7 Genius Foundation
I'm going to start off with my most favourite out of my new discoveries. I've been using Rimmel foundations for years and they've always worked for me but recently I tried out this W7 foundation and it's now my favourite by far. It's super lightweight and easy to wear, which is something I look for in a foundation as I really don't like being able to feel make-up sitting heavy on my skin.

Perfume technically isn't make-up but let's just make an exception, because Black Musk by The Body Shop is now my 'signature scent' and I love it! I've always been a Marc Jacobs girl as far as perfume goes, from Daisy to Lola, I've gone through them all. When I first smelt Black Musk, I loved that although it was still sweet, it had a deeper scent. Of course there's a more accurate (& professional) description of this perfume on The Body Shop's website so just click the link above!

Penneys PS Gel Effect Nail Polish
Who doesn't love a good quality nail polish in the prettiest shade? I picked up this nail polish in Penneys recently for around €2 just to try it out and I'm so impressed by the quality, I'd even compare it to the Barry M Gelly Shine nail polishes (which are my favourites)!

W7 Making Waves Eye Shadow
I've been using this eyeshadow palette for my everyday make-up for the last few weeks as I love the neutral matte shades, and also how highly pigmented the shadows are. This palette comes with five shades, and for my everyday make-up I use the lightest all over my lid and then blend the darkest and second darkest shades into my crease.

Mascara is my favourite make-up item, so I'm rather critical of them when I try out a new one. This Smashbox mascara lengthens my lashes and makes them so voluminous that I often have people asking if they're my natural lashes!

Penneys PS Contour & Sculpt
Penneys have been vastly improving their make-up range recently and this contour palette is no exception. I've seen mixed reviews of this online but I personally love it. I'm extremely pale so I definitely don't need anything too dark to contour. I use this over the W7 Contour Stick (discussed below) and it gives a really natural 'shadow' which is exactly what I want.

Givenchy Liner Coutre
Hands down, this is the best eyeliner I have ever used. It's so easy to apply, it's so pigmented and it has amazing staying power. There's not much I can say other than I love it and wish it was a little cheaper!

W7 Contour Stick
This contour stick comes in a pack of three, along with a highlight shade and a darker shade. I love how creamy this is which makes it really easy to blend. As I mentioned above, when I contour I will use this Contour Stick first, blend it in and then set it with the contour powder from the PS Contour & Sculpt palette.

I got this brush in a goodie bag from a blogger event I attended and it's honestly changed the way I apply my foundation and concealer. As the F23 is pointed, it makes under-eye concealing an absolute breeze and in general for the rest of the face it gives a really flawless finish!

Have you discovered any new make-up loves recently? Let me know what they are in the comments! I hope you enjoyed this post and thanks so much for reading.
