UDxGwen Review & Swatches

23.12.15

Hello! If you even have the slightest bit of interest in make-up, I'm sure you recognise this beautiful palette and have heard everyone talking about it. Well today I'm going to add myself to the long list of people raving about Urban Decay's collaboration with Gwen Stefani, because it's amazing!

First of all, let's just talk about the packaging. Gwen was heavily involved in every aspect of creating this palette and the packaging was no exception. I absolutely love the gold on this palette and the white and black print. The palette also comes with four samples of the lipsticks that Gwen also created with Urban Decay which I thought was a really nice touch.

The palette includes fifteen beautiful shadows, with a range of mattes, shimmers and colours. My favourite shades so far have been Punk which is described as a reddish brown matte, Steady which is a pale nude satin shadow and Anaheim which is a light taupe-brown matte which I love to use in my crease. As for the rest of the shades, I think Blackout is the perfect matte black for a dramatic smokey eye and 1987 and Pop would look gorgeous for a glam night out look.

Pop, Harajuku, Danger, 1987, Blackout.
Serious, Zone, Stark, Anaheim, Baby.
Punk, Steady, Skimp, Bathwater, Blonde.
I think the UDxGwen palette is very versatile and you could get lots of different looks out of it. It's also perfect if you're like me and wear subtle/neutral everyday eye make-up. The palette is available in Debenhams nationwide for €46 and whether it's for your girlfriend/sister or if you're treating yourself, I couldn't recommend it enough!

Have you tried out this palette? Let me know what your favourite shade is in the comments! Thanks so much for reading and I hope you enjoyed this post.
