High Street Styling: Penneys

18.10.15

I was recently asked on Snapchat to style some of the pieces I post on the Penneys To Prada Facebook page. I love putting together outfits, so I've decided to start a little series here on Penneys To Prada called 'High Street Styling:' and each post will feature a different high street shop. I thought it was only right that I started with my favourite shop, Penneys, as they have some gorgeous pieces for A/W in stock at the moment. Enjoy!

Blanket Cape - €25
Jumper - €20
Jeans - €15
Boots - €20
Bag - €12

The print of this blanket cape instantly caught my eye and I think when you're wearing a piece with a strong print like this, pairing it with a simple knit jumper and a classic pair of blue denim jeans is perfect. I thought these sand coloured 'suede' shoes really complimented the colour of the jumper and the black bag tied in with the darker colours of the cape.

Jacket - €30
Dress - €16
Boots - €23
Bag - €10

The rust shade of this dress is one of my favourites for this season. Pairing it with all black makes sure that the colour isn't too over powering. This outfit could be worn with black tights for an everyday look or swap out the boots for a pair of heels, lose the tights and you've got yourself a more dressy outfit.

Ripped Boyfriend Jeans - €19
Pussy Bow Blouse - €13
Cape - €20
Boots - €21

Capes have been really popular lately and Penneys has had us spoilt for choice. I've paired the cape with this pussy bow blouse in a gorgeous wine colour and a pair of ripped boyfriend jeans for a kind of 'model off duty' look. The heeled Chelsea boots are very on trend right now and the colour goes perfectly with the cape.

Pea Coat - €30
Check Shirt - €13
Ripped Jeans - €19
Cross Body Bag - €10
Faux Suede Boots - €15

Penneys have an amazing selection of coats at the moment and this navy pea coat is no exception. I've used the navy of the coat to tie it in with the colour of the check on the shirt and also with the boots. I love the distressed quality these jeans have and the bag again ties in with the colour of the check on the shirt.

Faux Fur Collar Jacket - €30
Pintuck Slim Trousers - €14
V-Neck Blouse - €11
Heels - €24
Bag - €8

This is more of a 'night out' outfit. The faux fur collar jacket is sure to be a sell out, it looks a lot more expensive than just €30. I think it's always a good idea to have at least one colourful accessory when wearing a monochrome outfit and this emerald snake skin effect clutch is perfect as it also ties in with the snake skin print of the shoes.

Shearling Gillet - €25
Roll Neck Jumper - €14
Motocross Jeans - €15
Scarf - €9
Boots- €20
Bag - €12

Gillets have become all the rage lately, from shearling styles like the one above to knitted styles. I think gillets like this one look lovely over a cosy jumper. I've chosen a black motocross style pair of jeans for this look to give it back a slight edge. The colours in the scarf and the bag greatly compliment each other as well as the rest of the outfit, I own this exact bag and every time I wear it I get complimented on it, it looks a lot more expensive than just €12!

I hope you enjoyed this post, let me know in the comments what your favourite outfit was and if you have any requests for the next shop to be featured be sure to leave a comment below. Thanks so much for reading!
