Long Haul Flight Essentials

26.5.15

Hello! Last week I took an eight hour flight to the U.S.A as I'm spending the summer in North Carolina. I've been on quite a few transatlantic flights and sometimes eight hours can feel like a very long time in a confined space. Today I wanted to share with you the essentials I bring with me to make the flight as comfy and enjoyable as possible!

1. My number one essential are fluffy socks. Planes can get quite cold at times and wearing shoes for that long if you're not walking around doesn't make sense to me so I always bring a pair of fluffy socks with me to put on.

2. Travel toothbrush and toothpaste. I always like to bring a travel sized toothbrush set with me to freshen up on the plane, I find brushing my teeth wakes me up a bit too after a long flight.

3. Entertainment. Usually on a transatlantic flight there will be movies and tv shows to watch on the monitors in front of you. Last week I brought my iPad Mini with me as I had an episode of Game of Thrones and an episode of About Bruce to catch up on. Watching movies and tv shows is a great way to pass time too!

4. Books. Reading is another way I like to pass time on a long flight. Before getting my iPad Mini I used to bring two or three books on a flight but now I can read them all on iBooks. I'm currently reading Not That Kind Of Girl by Lena Dunham and I'm really enjoying it!

5. Face wash, like the toothbrush and toothpaste is essential for me on a long flight. The recirculated air on the plane can leave your skin feeling dry and tired so washing your face is a brilliant way to revive it. I never wear makeup while flying as it's a sure fire way to cause breakouts.
