Loving Lately #3

26.3.17

The other day I was having a look back through the archives of Penneys To Prada and came across two posts
titled 'Things I've Been Loving Lately #1' and 'Things I've Been Loving Lately #2' and I thought why not bring
that type of post, where I share some of the things I've been loving lately, back?! There's been a few things in
particular that I've really wanted to share with you all recently, some fashion and beauty related, and some just
very random, so here they are!

Netflix

I've become a complete Netflix addict over the past few months. I love films and tv shows, so having something
that makes them all so accessible and easy to watch (almost too easy in fact), is brilliant. Recently, I binged watched
(I'm talking four seasons in just over a week) 'The Killing', and if you're into crime dramas, you absolutely need to
watch it. Dara and I have also watched some brilliant documentaries too, with my favourites being The Fear Of 13, Minimalism: A Documentary About the Important Things, 13th, Amanda Knox and The Seven Five.

There's a few other tv shows that I've watched on Netflix and loved, so if you're looking for recommendations,
definitely checkout The OA, Stranger Things, Black Mirror and How To Get Away With Murder.

Sudio Regent Headphones

Wireless headphones have become so popular lately, so of course I decided I 'needed' a pair. For a few
months I was strongly considering buying a pair of Bose Quiet Comfort headphones, but couldn't justify
spending so much money on them. Then I saw that Sudio had brought out their own wireless headphones,
and since I already have a pair of Sudio's Vasa earphones, I knew their sound quality is superb and that I
had to have a pair of the new Regent headphones!

They certainly didn't disappoint and since getting them, I have used them every single day. I find the wireless
feature especially handy for the gym, because there were a few times previously where I almost yanked my
phone out of my sports bra whilst rowing because I'd snagged the wire of my earphones! You can control the
volume and skip tracks using the buttons on the right side of the headphones and the discs on the ears of the
headphones are interchangeable which I think is pretty cool.

I've just checked and the code 'penneystoprada' will still give you 15% off on Sudio's website,
so if you're looking for a pair of wireless headphones that won't break the bank, these are perfect!

Spotify's Daily Mixes

Speaking of music, another thing I've been loving lately is Spotify's 'Daily Mix' feature. I'm not sure if this is a new
feature or not, but I've only come across it in the last week and it's brilliant. They create mixes of your favourite
tracks and also add in tracks they think you might like, based on the music you already listen to and I've
discovered some brilliant songs because of it!

I have a very varied taste in music and it really depends on my mood, but at the moment I absolutely love
Calvin Harris - Slide, Banks - This Is Not About Us, Gabrielle Aplin - Miss You (Piano),
HONNE - Good Together and Foals - Birch Tree.
I could go on forever as I just love music so much, but those are just a few of my favourite songs right now!

Hydrating Skincare

My skin has been uncharacteristically dry lately, so I've been taking extra special care of it and using all of
the hydrating, moisturising products in my arsenal of beauty products. Usually, the fact that I have
oily skin would make me shy away from oils and products that are for dry skin, but I've found
that using hydrating products has actually helped my skin be less oily for the most part!

A few hero products to mention in regards to helping dry dehydrated skin are:
Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate,
The Body Shop's Ethiopian Honey Mask,
Pestle & Mortar's Pure Hyaluroinic Serum

Stripes

The last thing I've been loving lately is stripes. It's almost become an obsession at this stage and if you
follow me on Instagram you'll probably know all about it. Yesterday I picked up another striped top in
Penneys, but in my defence it was reduced to €3 and looks very nice, doesn't it?

I've been trying to hone in my wardrobe and only buy things I know I'll wear, and I find that stripey tops
just go with everything and look so smart with very little effort. In saying that, this top is probably
the 10th stripey top I own so I think it's time I enforce a stripe ban, at least for a little while!

Is there anything that you've been loving lately? I'd love to hear about it!
