A Haul Full Of Bits & Pieces

12.7.17

I didn't really know what to call this post, but it is full of bits and pieces that I've bought over the past month, so there you go! I'm still trying to stick to my 'only buy it if I really love it and will wear it' rule, and I'm doing pretty well, but sometimes I just can't resist the latest trends. It's not all bad though because my purchases have resulted in today's haul, so I hope you enjoy it!

Let's start with beauty, shall we? I ran out of my beloved Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara recently, so whilst I was in Boots I picked up an old favourite that I used to use everyday for years. Maybelline's The Colossal Go Extreme Mascara is one of the best 'drugstore' mascaras I've ever used, the volume and length it gives your lashes are insane and Boots always have offers on their make-up so it's nice and cheap too.

Another item I picked up in Boots was the Bleach London Silver Shampoo since I now have a little bit of blonde in my hair and want to keep it nice and bright. I've used this shampoo once so far and it did a pretty good job at getting rid of any brassy tones in my hair, plus it smells so good.

The last beauty item I've picked up recently is this Hydrating Avocado Sheet Mask from Penneys. I'm so impressed by this mask, especially for the €1.50 price mark and I always make sure to pick up a few of these when I'm in Penneys.

You know when you're shopping and find something you didn't even know you needed? This gold basket from Penneys (that only cost €6) was one of those items for me. I've been struggling with how to store my most used skincare recently and this little basket is the perfect size and sits nicely on my desk.

Okay, so this is one of the items that I'm a little bit guilty of buying just because they're 'trendy'. These boots from Penneys (€21) are almost identical to a pair from Office that I've admired for quite a while, and a similar design to the beautiful ChloĆ© Susanna boots. The faux suede material isn't the most practical, but they're just so beautiful I couldn't possibly leave them behind. They also come in a blush pink and a khaki and if you are going to get them, I'd try on the smaller size as I find they do come up quite big fitting.

As much as I love my big purse from Topshop that can also double up as a clutch because it easily fits my phone and a lipstick, it's not the most practical for little handbags, so this card holder from Mango was just the thing I needed. It was also on sale for around €4 and it easily fits all the cards I need, plus a few coins too.

Can you sense a little bit of a colour scheme?! I'm having a love affair with red at the moment and I'm not even sorry about it. This bag from Penneys was only €10 and is the image of one of the J.W Anderson Pierce bags. I've been on the hunt for a little red bag for ages now so when I spotted this the other day I was delighted.

As well as a red colour theme, there's also a bit of a faux suede theme going on in my wardrobe lately between the boots above and these biker jackets. Penneys had similar jackets to these in at the beginning of the year and they were such a hit that they're back again. I almost bought the grey version of this jacket from Zara whilst I was in Spain but now I'm very glad I didn't because I got these two jackets (that cost €28 each) for just over the same price as one of the jackets from Zara!

Slogan tees are my weakness, so this one from Penneys which cost €9 was obviously coming home with me. I love the red and pink contrast and the fluffy 3D slogan is just too cute.

Another Mango sale find was this black denim jacket, another item that my wardrobe was lacking. I love denim jackets, they're so easy to throw on and this black one will go with so many different outfits in my wardrobe.

More red, I know, I'm obsessed. This stripey top from Penneys was reduced to €5, and I already have it in a black and white version so I know I'd get loads of wear out of it. These come up a little small so if you do spot it in store, I'd maybe size up so that it's still comfy.

Last but not least in this haul is this pair of loafers from Penneys. I'm not 100% gone on these just yet, so let me know either in the comments below or on Facebook/Instagram what you think of them. They remind me a lot of the shoes Chanel are bringing out at the moment with the pearl detail and I think they'd be perfect to add a little glamour to a casual outfit.

I hope you enjoyed this little haul, thanks so much for reading!
